Cyber-Security Firm Gets Hacked!

How embarrassing! Fortinet, one of the largest cyber-security companies in the world (they sell secure networking products such as firewalls, routers, and VPN devices, along with security consultancy services) has admitted that they have been hacked, as reported on Bleeping Computer. A hacker is now offering 440GB of Fortinet's files for sale.

The fact that a company claiming they can protect your systems cannot even protect their own systems rather undermines their selling proposition. I am expecting that their existing customers are now reconsidering their choice of supplier, and shareholders are likely to divest.
