French Onion Dip |
Serves 2 - 4 People |
French onion dip is fantastic with raw vegetables and crisps (chips), and even on crackers and bread. It is trivially simple to make, and keeps for 3 or 4 days in the fridge.
It needs to be made about 24 hours before eating it (otherwise it will be crunchy, not smooth).
Ingredients:
- Half a pack of French onion soup powder,
- A tub of cream cheese (e.g. Philadelphia cream cheese) - about 175 grams,
- 1 to 2 teaspoons of cream.
Method
- In a small mixing bowl, mix the soup powder and cream cheese very well with a fork,
- Mix in the cream (just enough to make the dip softer, so that you can pick it up on what you dip in it - if you add too much cream, it will separate in the fridge).
- Cover and store in the fridge.
